Redskins Plan To Hold Onto Quaterback Jason Campbell:
- By orentime
- February 27th, 2010
At the combine, Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan said they plan to tender QB Jason Campbell which may keep him DC for at least one more year.
It is not known what the tender offer will be.
The amount will determine what the Redskins get back if Campbell signs elsewhere.
Also Shanahan stated his son Kyle, the offensive coordinator, will call plays to whomever the team has under center.
Shanahan says they are still evaluating the team and did not specify if Campbell would be the starter if he comes back....
Redskins Week 17 Preview: at San Diego Chargers

So the Washington Redskins take on the San Diego Chargers this weekend in San Diego.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
In San Diego’s case, the regular season has been an unqualified success.
The team sewed up the second seed in the AFC side of the playoffs a couple of weeks ago, second only to the 14-1 Indianapolis Colts.
With no way to advance or fall back, it’s essentially a meaningless game for the Bolts, who might rest some of their starters.
It’s a meaningless game for the Redskins too, and Washington will also be without several of their starters, but for much different reasons.
Once again the most interesting team in March will be sitting on the couch come January, this year with double-digit losses and eventually an overhauled front office and coaching staff.
The team also...
Redskins Week 16 Preview: vs. Dallas Cowboys

It’s Dallas week again, and all through Washington, not a Redskins fan cares, not even a little.
Maybe that’s a bit of an overstatement, but after last week’s pitiful performance against the Giants at FedEx Field, Redskins nation is simply waiting this season out, much like the snowstorm that pounded the area last weekend.
Monday’s performance was simply pathetic; the Giants stormed out to a huge lead right out of the gate and never let up en route to a 45-12 drubbing.
The game included the pounding of quarterback Jason Campbell, who had to leave the game at one point, and unquestionably the worst trick play of all time.
The play came at the end of the first half when Zorn, who had apparently decided to stop worrying about the protection since it...

Redskins Week Five Preview: at Carolina Panthers
- By Jack Gorman
- December 24th, 2009
Every game this season, the Redskins have faced a winless opponent (technically, this is true. The Giants hadn’t won a game before Week One, had they?). Nothing’s changed with their Week Five match-up with the winless and fledgling Carolina Panthers, except that maybe the team is tired of facing desperate opponents. Washington squeaked by the bumbling Buccaneers last week at home with a 16 point “explosion” of points in the third quarter, followed by a fourth-quarter defense that was just barely good enough to contain a 2008 fifth round signal caller. They say that winning cures everything, but when you win like that, all it usually does is quiet your critics down to a dull roar for a day or two. In Washington, Jim Zorn didn’t even get that. Zorn got the NFL’s version...
