A’s Will Retain 2009 Coaching Staff

In an attempt to take full accountability for all that may have gone wrong in 2009, the Oakland Athletics front office announced that they will indeed retain all of their coaches from the 2009 season.
This could also equate to Billy Bean practicing his belief that coaches and managers have little to do with a team's success in baseball.
Either way, it is a smart move considering their coaches' payroll was also one of the lowest in the game.
The Athletics have already seen enough of their 2009 opening day players move on to help other teams for the better (Holliday, Gonzalez, Giambi just to name a few), that seeing a third base coach wave in player "x" next October would really just break their heart.

Plenty of...
