According to the Los Angeles Times, slugger Manny Ramirez will be a Dodger for the 2010 season, but Juan Pierre may possibly be dealt to another team this winter.
Scott Boras, who is Ramirez’s agent, informed Dodger GM Ned Colletti that Ramirez is not exercising his option to leave the Dodgers and will be paid $20 million, which is more than most teams would invest in him considering the PED’s and slump upon returning to the team.
Juan Pierre is a great leadoff hitter with speed, but is not the offensive catalyst that the Dodgers are looking for going into the 2010 season.
