Breaking News: Milicic to T Wolves, Nate to Boston and Jamison to Cavs!!
- By Nick Adamo
- February 17th, 2010
The Knicks have traded Center Darko Milicic to the timberwolves for forward Brian Cardinal.
Milicic and Cardinal have had one thing in common this season, they havent been playing.
So why would the knicks make this deal?
One their saving close to 2 million dollars and it is expected that Cardinal will be waived to make room for a trade that would send Nate Robinson to the Celtics.
Nate will almost certainly be a Celtic, the Knicks will recieve Eddie House and another player, probably J.R Giddens in return.
I actually really like this move, Nate just doesnt fit with Mike Dantoni and he is more of a Shooting Guard than a Point Guard, House is well liked by Dantoni and likes the Knicks system so I can see him starting over the struggling...
Knicks Closing in on T-Mac Trade
- By Nick Adamo
- February 15th, 2010
The Knicks and Rockets are close to a deal that would send former superstar Tracy Mcgrady to the Knicks in return for Al Harrington, Jared Jeffries and Jordan Hill.
The Knicks would also swap 2011 first round picks with Houston and send 2012's first round pick to the Rockets.
Acquiring T-Mac will almost certainly guarantee that the Knicks can afford two big name free agents this summer, especially if Jeffries is in the deal.
However I would hate to trade away Jordan Hill before giving him a chance to really play.
I believe Hill can be a great player and has a cheap contract for the next few years, with the Knicks luck they would trade him and he would develop into a star.
I would much rather trade all star David lee who will almost certainly move on to another team this...
Nate Wants Out
- By Nick Adamo
- December 20th, 2009
Nate Robinson has been a fan favorite at Madison Square Garden for years, but on saturday the 2 time slam dunk champion's agent requested a trade.
The news comes with little surprise after Mike Dantoni banished Robinson to the bench.
Nate has not played in the last eight games seeing his last action against Dantoni's former team the Suns on December first.
Even through the benching Robinson has shown energy from the bench intensely rooting for his team mates. When asked about the situation Nates agent Aaron Goodwin had this to say. "I can't allow Nate to rot on Mike's bench and not do anything about it.
I can't allow this to happen to his career, It's clear that Mike D'Antoni doesn't want to play him."
Many Knicks fans love Nates personality, he is flashy, energetic...
Grading the Knicks Off Season
- By Nick Adamo
- December 20th, 2009
The Knicks have done everything right this off season to keep Donnie Walsh's 2010 plan on track. They resigned David Lee and Nate Robinson to one year contracts and made sure they didnt sign anybody past next year. They had a great draft when they added athletic Power Forward Jordan Hill with the 8th pick, and Point Guard Toney Douglas with the 29th pick. For those who dont remember David Lee was selected 30th overall in 2005 so dont sleep on Douglas. They also filled a need when they traded for big man Darko Milicic who will be a perfect fit in Coach D' Antoni's system. However they have failed to sign a player with their Mid Level exception. They have tried and failed to sign players like Jason kidd, Grant Hill,...
Knicks Start Season with Deflating loss to Miami
- By Nick Adamo
- December 20th, 2009
The Knicks lost their first game of the season to the Miami Heat by the score of 115- 93. The game was competitive untill late in the first half, with the game tied at 46 the Heat went on a 10-1 run in the last three minutes of the second quarter. They never looked back . In the third quarter the Heat absolutely dominated the Knicks, outscoring them 34-15. To put that in perspective the Heat scored 44 points in 15 minutes while the Knicks only scored 16 points. The last quarter was actually a positive for the Knicks as they would score 31 points even though the game was out of reach. Overall this was a very frustrating game to watch with countless mistakes and missed shots, many of which were taken while open. This loss...
Knicks KNotes: Iverson a Possibility, Curry Returns
- By Nick Adamo
- December 20th, 2009
After starting off 1-9 Knicks President Donnie Walsh may have had a change of heart about Point Guard Allen Iverson. According to the Daily News Walsh will explore signing the future hall of famer who was very available during the offseason but recieved no interest from the Knicks. Iverson was recently released by the Grizzlies after he became disgruntled over playing time. He only played three games with Memphis but I can see him getting plenty of playing time on the Knicks with Chris Duhon's miserable start to the season. I wonder if Walsh will sign Iverson to actually improve the team or just as a way to keep fans interested in this season and sell some tickets. I also wonder if the Knicks would carry four point guards. They have an open roster spot so they can...
