Colts-Ravens Saturday Injury Update
  • By Bryan Brackney
  • November 21st, 2009

T Daniel Federkeil (concussion), CB Aaron Francisco (ankle), WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee), CB Kelvin Hayden (knee), K Adam Vinatieri (right knee) are listed as out, and will not play. Francisco did not play against new England, where he was expected to be used as the dime cornerback and the backup free safety. Jamie Silva replaced him in his duties in the dime. Silva is much slower than Francisco, and Dallas Clark would have two steps on Silva in a foot race. If Federkeil can not play, Tony Ugoh will be activated and will serve as the Colts top reserve at left and right tackle. Gonzalez has not played since week one, and will be replaced by Pierre Garcon, who scored a touchdown last week, but has also struggled with drops and injuries. Hayden will...

  • By Bryan Brackney
  • November 21st, 2009

Who would have guessed that Antoine Bethea could do so much for the Colts when he was drafted by the team in 2006? Bethea has proven all of the scouts wrong, and is now giving back to the fans that he has already given so much too. Bethea is teaming up with San Diego Chargers linebacker Shaun Phillips and his organization tdshutdown.org. Bethea will donate money this season for the After-School All Stars. All the After-School All Stars do is provide after school programs for kids that are fun and educational. After-School All Stars serve 78,000 youth annually through after school and summer programs in 13 cities across the country. Bethea will donate an unknown sum of money to the After-School All Stars for every tackle he makes. Bethea has recorded 64 tackles...

Stengths: Is very big, and has a lot of power. Can slide and block out the edge. Has very good balance. Has very quick feet. Weaknesses: Is not very tough. Manning Named AFC Offensive Player Of September
  • By Bryan Brackney
  • November 21st, 2009

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that the NFL has named Colts quarterback Peyton Manning the AFC Offensive Player of the Month. In just three games Manning has already thrown for almost 1000 yards and has thrown for seven touchdowns. Manning has lead the Colts to a perfect 3-0 record. Manning completed 66 of 93 passes and threw for two interceptions. Manning is on pace to break Dan Marino's record for passing yards in a season, but he is not close to his touchdown pace of 2004, when Manning broke the single season touchdown passes record. Manning has looked like the best quarterback in the NFL thus far this season with the exception of Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who attended Purdue. Manning leads the AFC with his 117.7 passing rating. Manning has been awarded...

Colts - Seahawks Preveiw
  • By Bryan Brackney
  • November 21st, 2009

The Colts lead the series 5-4, but the last time the Colts played in 2005, the Seahawks came out with a victory. If I am not mistaken that was around the time that James Dungy committed suicide. Jim Caldwell will enter his fourth game as an NFL head coach with a 3-0 record. The Seahawks have just arrived, and they look ready for a fight as the Colts and the Seahawks are destined for a showdown. On another not. 1070 ESPN is reporting the lid is open on the Lucas Oil Stadium so dress warmly. The temperature is set around 65 degrees, but slight winds will be in the air. John Clayton of ESPN.com is reporting that Dwight Freeney could play today against the Seahawks. Gary Brackett, Kelvin Hayden, Keyunta Dawson, and...

Colts-Seahawks Inactives
  • By Bryan Brackney
  • November 21st, 2009

The Colts got a huge sigh of relief when the Colts announced that Dwight Freeney was not on the Colts list of inactives. But, the Colts will be without three starters on defense today. Gary Brackett and Kelvin Hayden are inactive, while Marlin Jackson will once again play in the slot. Brackett will be replaced by former starting outside linebacker Freddy Keiaho at middle linebacker. Hayden will be replaced by former second round pick Tim "mini me" Jennings. The Colts will start the same defense that they started last Monday at Miami. Jerraud Powers will start at right cornerback for Marlin Jackson. The Colts also announced that starting kick returner and their third running back Chad Simpson was released, and the Colts signed running back Mike Hart off of their practice squad....
