We apologize for our apparent disappearance from the face of the Earth.
Just as our team was beginning to get into a groove, things fell apart and posts have been nonexistent since.
But life isn't always easy.
Schoolwork, family, friends, and everyday happenings hit us all hard recently, which slowed us down.
This week, we hope to be able to continue with out duties.
I'm not very big on promises, but I am confident a few posts will be up this week.
Also, as early as next week, we may test out a live blog on Sunday and possibly Saturday.
Nothing is set in stone, but we wanted to give you a heads up that it may happen.
Once again, we apologize for our absence.
We will be back at full force...
Fantasy Spin: Vince Young Named Titans Starter
- By Nick Allen
- October 29th, 2009
Just as I had thought, the Tennessee Titans announced earlier today that QB Vince Young will start this week agains the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I expect Young to impress this week against a weak Jags defense that is ranked second to last against the pass.
Young is a sexy yet risky fantasy play.
He may not be worth a fantasy start but stash him away on your bench for the time being.
This move doesn't affect Chris Johnson at all, continue to use him as you normally would.
As for the Titans WR's Nate Washington is a good flex play this week if he is healthy for the game.
If Washington can't go, Kenny Britt would be a good fantasy start because of the match up.
Also, if you need a tight end either because...
Fantasy Football: Week Eight Deep Sleepers
- By Nick Allen
- October 28th, 2009
Injuries and bye-weeks can be killers to fantasy squads if you don't have good depth.
If you don't, the waiver wire can be your best friend as there is gold to be found on it every week.
If you are in need for a decent one week replacement, look no farther.
I've constructed the following list of four deep sleepers for you.
Marcedes Lewis
The first time the Jaguars played the Titans this season Marcedes Lewis posted season-high numbers catching four passes for 76 yards and one touchdown.
The Titans are the worst team against the pass this year with 310 passing yards allowed per game on average.
Lewis is a big target for David Garrard to throw to making him a good red zone threat.
Don't be surprised if Marcedes Lewis vultures a...
Fantasy Football: Week Four Sleepers
- By Nick Allen
- October 28th, 2009
The bye weeks are starting this week and many fantasy owners are looking for decent one week replacements. I have constructed a list of a few guys that I think will have a serviceable week. Most if not all of these guys can be found on your leagues waiver wire. Mark Bradley Last week Bradley played against one of the top defenses in the league and caught four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown, he also added 22 yards on one rush. He even threw a 26 yard pass to RB Jamaal Charles. This week the Chiefs face the Giants who are missing a few key defensive players. If Bowe does not play, Bradley would be a decent bye week fill in. Bradley is owned in 1.7 percent of ESPN Fantasy Football leagues. Tashard Choice Choice...
Fantasy Football: Top Five Week Four QB's
- By Nick Allen
- October 28th, 2009
Week four of the NFL and Fantasy Football seasons are quickly approaching. And that means my weekly player rankings are here too. I tend to stray away from the obvious picks to make it interesting but never make a pick with no logic behind it whatsoever. Although atleast one or two of my rankings shouldn't surprise you. Anyway, here are my completely unbiased week four QB rankings. Jay Cutler Cutler has a very favorable match up this week against the Lions. Yes, those same Lions that made Jason Campbell look like a Pro-Bowl QB last week. And yes, those same Lions that have allowed an NFL-high 10 passing touchdowns this season. Cutler has been solid in his past two games, throwing for 483 yards and five touchdown passes on two good pass defenses. He...
Matthew Stafford Dislocates Knee In Loss To Bears
- By Nick Allen
- October 28th, 2009
After leaving late in the 4th quarter, Lions' QB, Matthew Stafford had reportedly dislocated his knee. The knee has since been popped back into place, reports ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Here's what rotoworld has to say: "ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Matthew Stafford's knee was briefly dislocated in Sunday's loss to the Bears. The term for a temporary dislocation when it's popped back in is a "subluxation." The Lions are "hoping" that the damage wasn't severe, but Stafford will undergo more tests on Monday to determine the extent. Unfortunately, the secretive Lions almost certainly won't release the results. Mort does say that the Lions are confident Stafford won't miss more than 1-2 weeks." He may not miss any time at all, though. According to ESPN, a medical source within the Lions' organization has reported he...
