Deon Anderson Concerned About Job Security…
- By Martin Long
- February 4th, 2010
As some of you may know, Deon Anderson was arrested early Tuesday morning by Addison Police, for outstanding traffic warrants, after he and his brother (Devon Anderson, 25) were involved in a dispute outside a restaurant with a parking valet. What some of you may not know, is that Addison Police have now issued another arrest warrant for Anderson. The charge? Deadly conduct. A class A misdemeanor. According to the arrest-warrant affidavit, at around 2.15 am outside the BlackFinn restaurant near Midway Road, Anderson was having trouble trying to start his car. He then noticed a man nearby laughing (Mekonnen Geji, 31). Anderson accused Geji of tampering with his car. Geji continued to laugh, so Anderson went back to his car and retrieved a loaded hand-gun, which he pointed at Geji, and asked “why...
Mailbag Questions: Dallas Cowboys
- By Martin Long
- January 29th, 2010
Got a lot of mail this week, so instead of answering the usual five questions, I will answer ten. If I didn’t get around to your question, e-mail me again and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Q. Should Felix Jones be the starting back next season? Thomas Gamboa A. Definitely. Jones averaged 5.9 yards a pop this season, and had runs of 40, 46, 49, 56 and 71 yards. He is the home run hitter; the spark on this offense that can make things happen. There have been questions about his durability, but with Barber fizzling out at the end of the last two seasons, and suffering from a quad strain earlier in this past season, there is no way Felix shouldn’t be starting....
Should Jerry Jones Consider Donte Stallworth in Dallas?
- By Jason Henry
- January 28th, 2010
The Dallas Cowboys ended their 2009 season on a sour note after a tough loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Defensively the team looked sloppy and on the offensive side of the ball the line that’s built to protect Tony Romo fell harder than Jennifer Lopez at the American Music Awards. But with the type of season the Cowboys produced in 2009, fans should take solace in knowing that their team grew by leaps and bounds last season and will continue to do so in 2010. Now the question turns to what should the Cowboys focus on in the off-season? From what I’m hearing, Jerry Jones may be interested in adding another wide receiver to the stable in Valley Ranch. One early name that continues to appear is that of current Denver Broncos...
Mock Draft 1.0
- By Jason Henry
- January 28th, 2010
So, the off-season begins, and with all the free-agent restrictions and rules, the Cowboys are going to be looking at the draft to increase their talent, and improve their team. I believe the Cowboys are more likely to trade up in the draft this year, rather than down. Since some of the rookies from last year’s draft class ended up on IR or the PUP list, the Cowboys are in no way searching for depth, but instead talent. Talent that will hopefully help take this team to the next level. First Round Earl Thomas (FS, Texas). Thomas is the type of play-making safety that Dallas is in need of right now. Ken Hamlin has not played to the level of his contract, and is now 29-years old. Thomas is an exciting prospect, because he...
Dallas Cowboys: 11 Months and 11 Days
- By Jason Henry

That is right it has been a while, a long while, but I still needn’t remind anyone of what happened on December 28th, 2008, in Philadelphia at the Lincoln Financial Field. That afternoon the Dallas Cowboys were dismantled in such a way that it lifted the wool off everyone’s eyes. Jerry could now see, the fans could now see, and the players could finally see clearer than ever that the Dallas Cowboys were not that good. They weren’t a playoff team, they weren’t America’s Team, they were just trash. Trash that got beaten so badly that I am surprised the Governor even let them back into the state of Texas. This time it’s different. The Cowboys are not playing like trash anymore; they are stepping up and playing to their...
Cowboys’ Season: A Rollercoaster Thus Far
- By Jason Henry
- January 28th, 2010
Week One: Three touchdowns. Week Two: Three interceptions. Week Three: 0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions. That has been Tony Romo’s season so far, up and down and then somewhere in the middle. Hardly a perfect season so far. After the first week we were laughing and hi fiving all our friends as we thought the no T.O. era was going to be a bright and prosperous one. After week two we all came back down to earth and the critics jumped right back onto Romo about his careless mistakes and how he will never win a big game. After week three we just sat back and shrugged a little, I mean it wasn’t good... But then again it wasn’t bad either. And here we are with week four in the headlights. Will we see the Romo who just made big...
