Simply put, the Cavs need to learn how to defend the pick and roll, an issue I brought up in my post regarding the acquisition of Shaq. They couldn't defend it last year, and with Shaq as part of the lineup they've found it even harder to defend. Getting beat at home by the Celtics is bad enough (not that the Celtics don't deserve the win, or aren't talented enough-I think they're the best team in the East) but when the Raptors -a team the Cavs had previously beaten 5 straight-can pick and roll their way to a ten point win, no matter how you sugar coat it or what excuses are made there are some serious problems in Cleveland.

It seems like it is the same story in Cleveland. Give LeBron the ball and get out of the way. Box score hasn't changed James 38 points everyone else barely gets 12 points. You think Delonte would have made a difference?

There was a good point about this brought up on pregame shows about how the Powe move is basically like picking up another good player before the trading deadline. I just hope that Mike Brown doesn't forcefeed him minutes and lets him get back into the flow of the game. He will be necessary come playoff time.

Powe does know his role, and Celtic fans are still miffed as to why Danny didn't offer him a contract. Wait, the Celtics did want to offer him a contract but only after he poroved he had rev=covered from his third knee surgery. The Celtics took a chance on him when no oneelse did, and he got a ring for it. Though I do admire his spunk and tenacity, it would not have been a sound business decision for a team who has a short championship window. Cleveland has more of a leeway in that regard, in that their star player is still very young. The proof will be when he comes back in February. he was only ticked because the Celtics didn't want to pay him up front before he showed he was healthy again. Yes he played hurt, but his motivation was yes to prove his heart, which he didn't need to do. The Celtics already knew his work ethic. He was keeping an eye on his future payday, that is what made him comeback. As careful as Danny and Doc is with their players, remember Tony Allen has been injured every year he has been in Boston. Allen has a bigger contract that is why, and I am sure if they were able to eat his contract they would buy him out.
