I would rather go and draft a rb or find a younger cheaper choice maybe someone who has been the backup behind someone else. Leon Washington might be someone to target coming off an injury but not sure what is contract situation is with the uncapped year

There needs to be a house cleaning starting with Jerry and all the way down. Even the special teams looked bad this week. Lovie does not hold his players responsible. Throw them under the bus, call them out in front of the press. Do something different cause what you are doing isn't. Jerry is just as much to blame for this mess as Lovie. Jerry invested in the defense which is proving to be a huge mistake. Letting Berrian walk as a free agent and then trading away Thomas Jones. 3 years ago we had Rex leading the way with a better supporting cast now we have a great franchise qb with no supporting cast. I would gladly take back Rex if it could mean we get Jones and Berrian back

I love the article! And as a Packer fan, I think the bears did the right thing in sending him packing. His perverbial "light bulb" never would have turned on in Chicago. But, after watching favre beat us last month...I can sympathize with what you went through watching the game last week!

Hey Gibbs - thanks for reading! RE; Do I write about everything Chicago, no, just the Bears & Blackhawks on Fan Huddle. I write about the Cubs for another website, though, and have written about the White Sox and Bulls on other sites as well.

Gibbs:

Yes, the defense was horrendous in the first half of the game, but they gave up just three points in the second half, and I think they were able to settle down. I think that a lot of the Lions surprising first half had a lot to do with their momentum coming off their first win, but I don't think they were able to keep up their energy through the entire game. Once Knox returned that kickoff for a TD, I think that they started going back through the motions of a losing team.
