The jungle is a completely insane place. There is danger at every turn. The paint is thick and dense with long limbs there to block your every move. That is what it probably felt like to the Charlotte Bobcats after the Celtics took control of last night’s game from start to finish.
In their first two games, the Celtics have parried with Cleveland, and reminded some young cubs called the Bobcats that they still have a long way to go.
Tomorrow night the young Chicago Bulls now feel like they have the chin hairs to stand toe to toe with the boys in green. Last year’s epic first round matchup became part of NBATV’s classic game archives.
This may be their first true test of the young season; Cleveland has chemistry issues. Joachim Noah and Tyrus Thomas showed Kevin Garnett and company respect by not backing down to the presumably better team.
Derek Rose last year’s rookie of the year is ready to assert his leadership, and John Salmons gives Paul Pierce fits.
The Garden brethren will tussle with the Bulls on Friday night and hope to avoid the sting of the Hornets Chris Paul on Sunday.
Boston Celtic fans tell the Chicago Bulls: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!!!!
